Hello! I hope you’re well!

I’m writing this as we finish our final event in 2019, here in my second home of Courmayeur. Our time at Connections Meetings has been inspiring. I have so enjoyed seeing old friends and creating new partnerships, all whilst experiencing the wonders of Valle d’Aosta. It’s also been an emotional few days. This event marks the end of Connections as an event organiser, and the beginning of a whole new chapter. Following a demi-decade of incredible, international events, complete with thought-leaders like Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, Jay Shetty and the Godmother of the Wellness Revolution Deborah Szekely, Connections has organically evolved into a network of brilliant leaders. So, next month, we will officially become the international private community for senior executives in high-end travel. As I sit here, surrounded by the most spectacular landscape, I am allowing myself a few moments to reflect on what has been a most magnificent year. We have had the privilege of working alongside incredible tourist boards and partners, who truly understand our approach to forging long-lasting business relationships. From the green, clean lands of Slovenia to the Atlantic’s untapped Azores to the soul of Santa Monica, we have been so fortunate to invite our delegation to discover and rediscover destinations in the Connections Way. Not only that, but we also launched into the weddings sector in one of the most romantic destinations: Puglia – the new Tuscany. What a year! That said, 2020 is already shaping up to be our best yet. With 15 exciting events in the calendar, we’ll be travelling across the world, journeying from authentic Tokyo and adventurous Oman to the untold Peru and beyond. And there’s even more to come… I leave you with our newest issue, packed full of knowledge and information on where we have been, and where we are set to go. Enjoy

the read, wherever in the world you may be! Ciao!
