Atas Conference 2023 to be held in Liverpool

The Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (Atas) will host its annual conference in Liverpool this year. The two-day event will be held in the Rum Warehouse at Titanic Hotel Liverpool on October 10-11. The programme includes a workshop to help first-time attendees learn the basics of touring and hear tips on how to attract customers and clinch bookings. Agents will also have the chance to meet with representatives from Atas members. Agents wishing to attend the Atas

Conference 2023 are asked to provide a small contribution for accommodation, starting at £50 per person for a twin-share room. To register, visit atas-conference.com.

April is Atas’s Touring & Adventure Month – a time for agents to capitalise on training to keep sales strong, says account director Claire Brighton

After many weeks of planning, I’m delighted that our ‘Touring & Adventure Month’ is finally here, running throughout April with the theme ‘Discover’. It’s a fitting theme, because it reflects the amazing range of holidays that clients can book, as well as the wealth of information and sales tips that Atas can offer agents selling touring and adventure holidays. The theme also ties into our annual conference, which will be held in Liverpool in October, giving agents who are new to the sector the chance to discover why they should be involved with Atas, while agencies that are already selling such holidays can explore the sector to glean more useful tips and trends. Here’s what we have lined up for the month:

Q Week one: Find out ‘Why?’ you should sell touring and adventure, along with reasons for customers to

book and reasons to join Atas. Q Week two: The focus is on ‘What?’, as we showcase

our members’ impressive range of products. Q Week three: The month continues with a ‘Where?’

theme, focusing on key destinations. Q Week four: We look at ‘Who & How?’, offering agents advice on putting everything into practice. Throughout the month, agents can learn about the sector via weekly webinars; benefit from toolkits with marketing assets and “myth-busting” tips; and earn points to win some super prizes. We’ll also shine a spotlight on sustainability and help agents discover more about niche parts of the sector. Atas has been working closely with members to produce a splendid range of training and marketing materials for the month. I hope you find it useful.
