Alaska season in summer 2027 MSC Cruises has opened sales for its summer 2027 Alaska programme – its second season in the region following its planned inaugural sailings in 2026. MSC Poesia will operate both seasons, with seven-night cruises departing Seattle every Monday between April and September. The line also announced that MSC Poesia would undergo “one
of the largest upgrades” in the company’s history ahead of its Alaska debut. The renovation will include the addition of the line’s premium Yacht Club area – a ship-within-a-ship concept – with 63 suites, two speciality restaurants and a refreshed spa and gym. Musica Class ship MSC Magnifica also entered dry dock in
Malta to have a Yacht Club area installed prior to commencing a programme of northern Europe itineraries in 2026. The line’s newest vessel, MSC World Asia, will feature the fleet’s
largest Yacht Club, totalling 144 suites (including a new two-storey Royal Duplex Suite), when it launches in December 2026.
Connect MSC takes bookings for second
unveils river collection National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has released its 2027-28 sailings, marking its “most expansive” river cruise collection to date, according to the line, with sailings spanning Europe, Egypt, India and Vietnam. A second ship, Evolve – sister vessel
to Connect, which launches next year – will sail in Europe from 2027, enabling the line to extend its river cruise programme into winter, including the festive season. Lindblad Expeditions chief executive Natalya Leahy said: “We’re thrilled that our new European and Indian river expeditions have been so well received, GHOLJKWHG WR RਬHU HYHQ PRUH HUۑHZ DQG ways to explore, including European Christmas market sailings.”
Britannia to homeport in Southampton

P&O Cruises’ flagship, Britannia, will homeport year-round in Southampton for the first time from winter 2027. Itineraries range from the Atlantic islands and Caribbean to the North Sea and Mediterranean. Clients could step aboard for a two-week voyage to Spain, Madeira and the Canary Islands, or sail on a five-night trip to Belgium and the Netherlands.
