Your Gui de to BAHRAIN
Welcome to our Kingdom
We are pleased to welcome you all to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the land of pearls and a cluster of 33 islands nestled stunningly in the heart of the vibrant Gulf.
With our year-round sunshine, exquisite beaches, rich culture and booming culinary scene, the Kingdom of Bahrain is becoming the most sought-after leisure and business destination in the Middle East. From historic attractions to water activities, unique scenery to entertaining festivals, the Kingdom is a melting pot of Arabic hospitality, spectacular modernity, exceptional heritage and big-hearted welcomes.
Marine enthusiasts have the chance to plunge into pearl diving to learn more about Bahrain’s rich seafaring legacy, or observe up to 250 dugongs – the world’s second-largest herd – in the waters of the Hawar Islands.
Bahrain is set to go well and truly global in the next five years, with a goal to attract more than 14 million tourists by 2026
Other heritage lovers can explore Manama Souq, one of the region’s oldest markets, with its souvenir shops, gold and jewellery outlets, plus traditional breakfast restaurants. Bahrain Fort, one of the Gulf’s few Unesco World Heritage Sites, boasts more than 5,000 years of history. Two other Unesco World Heritage Sites are also well worth exploring: the Pearling Path, which snakes through the old alleyways of Muharraq and can be visited at any point of its two-mile-long stretch, and the Bronze Age era Dilmun Burial Mounds in the Aali area.
From the Bahrain Grand Prix to the Bahrain Jazz Fest, Bahrain boasts a packed annual agenda of exhibitions,
events and large-scale festivals. Motivated by a vision to position the Kingdom as a top MICE destination, it boasts the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), one of the newest and largest exhibition and convention centres in the Middle East.
Given its abundant and captivating sights, advanced infrastructure and mega tourism investments, Bahrain is set to go well and truly global in the next five years, with a goal to attract more than 14 million tourists by 2026.
