Viking to launch new ship for sailings on Brahmaputra in 2027
Viking will offer river cruises in India in late 2027 on new-build ship Viking Brahmaputra. The 80-passenger vessel is
currently under construction. It will have 40 outside staterooms and is being designed specifically for the Brahmaputra River. The ship will operate a 15-day
itinerary called Wonders of India, which will sail between Guwahati and Nimati Ghat in the northeastern state of Assam. The trip will include an eight-
day river voyage and a fully guided land programme with hotel stays in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, with options to go east or west. There will be 13 excursions included with the opportunity to visit up to 10 Unesco World Heritage Sites. Viking chairman and chief
executive Torstein Hagen said: “We are delighted to introduce a new way for travellers to explore this phenomenal country.”

Seabourn unveils 15% off or upgrade and credit incentive

Seabourn has launched a Sail Into Savings promotion offering either a discount on fares or an upgrade with onboard credit for new bookings. Agents’ customers can choose 15% off selected
winter and spring ocean voyages and expeditions, valid for cruises departing from this September. Alternatively, they can opt for a two-category Veranda
Suite upgrade with up to $2,000 per suite onboard credit on selected 2026-27 cruises and expeditions. Both incentives apply to new bookings made before
September 23 on more than 500 ocean and expedition itineraries. Destinations include Antarctica, Asia, the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, the Arctic and more. A highlighted voyage eligible for savings of up to 15% is the 12-day Treasures of Aruba, Bonaire &
Curacao, departing on December 2 on Seabourn Ovation, leading in at £3,909 per suite with the discount. A cruise eligible for an upgrade and onboard credit
is the 14-Day In Search of the Midnight Sun, also on Ovation, which departs on May 16 and costs from
