Club Med’s new South Africa resort combines beach with safari
Club Med is set to open a $100 million resort in South Africa in July 2026. Bookings for the 411-room Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari on KwaZulu-Natal’s north coast will be available from October. It will feature a surf school
and activities such as snorkelling, sailing and diving, plus gravel biking, padel courts and Club Med’s signature flying trapeze. The all-inclusive operator
claimed the venture will be first hotel in the country to offer a dual beach and safari concept. Guests can combine a stay with a trip to Mpilo Safari Lodge, a new game lodge in a private reserve that is home to the big five. A short flight or drive from the beach resort, it will feature 75 premium tents.

Jet2 launches biggest-ever ski programme for 2026-27

Jet2.com has put its biggest-ever ski programme on sale for winter 2026-27, with flights operating from 10 of its UK airport bases to resorts in the Alps and Tyrolean Mountains. Ski flights have gone on sale from Belfast
International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle International and Stansted airports.
Jet2.com has put 35 ski routes and more than 180,000
ski seats on sale for winter 2026-27 – a capacity increase of 3% on the coming winter. Services will operate from mid-December 2026 throughout the winter season, with more than 70 weekly ski flights during peak periods. The programmes to Salzburg, Geneva and Turin
have been expanded. Other destinations include Chambéry, Grenoble, Innsbruck, Lyon and Verona.
Just Go Holidays adds short breaks to Paddington musical
Coach tour operator Just Go Holidays has introduced short breaks to see Paddington The Musical at London’s Savoy Theatre. Two-day breaks cost from £179, based on two sharing, departing January 29 and February 26, 2026. Carrier increases tailor-made options for Japan itineraries
Luxury operator Carrier has added customisable Japan itineraries, following an increase in enquiries. Accommodation options include hotel brands such as Aman, Ritz-Carlton, Capella and Six Senses, alongside traditional ryokans. A sample itinerary of 10 to 12 nights features Tokyo, Kyoto and Hakone, with experiences such as a calligraphy masterclass, helicopter ride and private tea ceremony.
