THIS WEEK’S BEST PICTURES FROM THE FRONTLINE OF TRAVEL
1. Fly&Joy agents Liliia Ilkevych and Yana Karpenko celebrate their co-hosting of the Ukrainian Charity Fest in Bude, Cornwall, in partnership with the Ukrainian Community in Kent group. More than 1,000 people attended the event at Bude Castle, which featured music and dance as well as British and Ukrainian cuisine. 2. Travel Counsellors agent Sarah Comrie receives a £50 Amazon gift voucher from Tipto after winning a competition tying in with National Travel Agent Day. Agents were invited to submit a picture of themselves at work, with Comrie’s photo emerging
victorious – she captured an action shot of herself in Reykjavik airport frantically rebooking a client’s flight after a last-minute cancellation. 3. InsideJapan hosts Not Just Travel agents for a taiko drumming lesson during a 10-day visit to Japan. The ‘Elite Experience’ trip, which combined business training with cultural immersion across Tokyo and Kyoto, featured bullet train journeys and a dinner cruise on a yakatabune, a traditional Japanese boat. 4. Hays Travel agents host a quiz and bingo night to raise money for charity. The group, from the branch in Sherborne, Dorset, entertained more than 50 guests at Westend Community Hall, generating more than £500 for young people charity The Rendezvous.
