Booking a Caribbean h See more with Marella

Q. How easy is it to book a shore excursion? Very easy! Once you’ve booked your customer their Marella Cruises sailing, they’ll get access to Cruise Control, Marella’s dedicated online portal. It’s their gateway to lots of useful information about their cruise, including which shore excursions are available to book.

Q.What support is available for customers? Once they’ve booked their cruise, they can pop in to their local Tui store or travel agent to speak to travel experts who can help book excursions and offer advice on the best things to do while on holiday. Guests can also give our Contact Centre team a call to book excursions. Once onboard, our Destination Services team will be on hand throughout the cruise to make sure passengers are getting the most from each of the ports of call.

Marella Cruises’ Caribbean excursions programme ensures guests see the very best of the region, explains Jacqui Nobile, Senior Destination Services Operations Manager

Q. Is it better to book excursions ahead of the cruise? Absolutely. A cruise is not only about the fabulous onboard experience – it’s the chance to explore multiple destinations on one holiday and capture new memories. Locking in excursions on Cruise Control in advance means customers are all set before they go. Plus, paying upfront can help guests plan and budget more easily while on board. The best bit? Our flexible cancellation policy means customers can change their mind up to 24 hours before their excursion starts.

Q. Are there excursions that cater to all abilities? We work closely with our trusted local excursion partners to ensure we’re visiting the must-see spots, creating authentic experiences and catering to a range of needs. For example, in Saint Lucia guests can choose from 25 excursions, so there’s something for everyone, whether they’re travelling solo, as a family, with friends or as a couple. Guests can always check the activity level before hitting the book button, so it’s easy to decide

whether an excursion is right for them. Each one is categorised by how much physical activity should be expected – from energetic and active to moderate and easy. Plus, there are different durations to suit everyone’s needs. If a passenger requires something specific, our onboard team is on hand to help and make recommendations.

Q. What are the benefits of booking organised shore excursions? Our excursions offer peace of mind, convenience and security. We do the hard work researching the best experiences that match the itinerary schedule, because we know every minute of a cruise counts. With expert local guides and pre-planned itineraries, days ashore are perfectly organised. Don’t forget that some destinations may limit the number of visitors to must-see sights, so by booking one of our excursions, passengers will have peace of mind knowing they’ve secured their spot. We also balance time ashore efficiently and take care of any itinerary changes. If an excursion is running late due to unexpected delays – such as
