Experience Pata event to start on Tuesday
The Pacific Asia Travel Association UK & Ireland is to hold its annual Taste of Pata event virtually in association with Travel Uni. Rebranded as Experience Pata, the event will run from September 1-18 and feature masterclasses, videos and agent training sessions with more than 30 suppliers.

Wizz Air launches new routes from Gatwick, Liverpool, Birmingham
Wizz Air is to start flying from Gatwick to Athens, Naples, Lanzarote and Malta from October 22 with the creation of a new base at the Sussex airport. The budget airline will allocate
an Airbus A321 to the hub, raising capacity by 450,000 seats, having first flown from Gatwick in 2016. Wizz Air is expanding at
other UK airports. Last week, it revealed two new routes to Lithuanian capital Vilnius, from Birmingham and Liverpool, starting in October, and has resumed service from Luton to St Petersburg, Russia. Also from October, the carrier
will start seven routes from Doncaster Sheffield, to Alicante, Malaga, Larnaca, Faro, Lublin, Kosice and Suceava.

Relaunched National Holidays reveals ‘like for like’ range

National Holidays has urged agents to focus on domestic product prior to the launch of its first UK breaks brochure under new ownership. The National Holidays brand and database
were acquired by JG Travel Group, which also owns touring operators Just Go! Holidays and Omega Breaks, in July. National’s former parent company Specialist Leisure Group collapsed in May. The operator’s 2021 programme will come out at
the end of September and feature “like for like” product, including family breaks to Alton Towers, Legoland, The Making of Harry Potter and sports trips to Formula One racing at Silverstone. Departures are from March next year and all product
