That is why in September 2021, Jet2 plc launched its Jet2 Net Zero Sustainability Strategy with the vision to become “one of the leading brands in sustainable air travel and package holidays”. Our strategy considers sustainability at every stage of the journey – on the ground, in the air and in UHVRUW $QG LWłOO KHOS XV UHDFK RXU WDUJHW RI QHW ]HUR FDUERQ emissions by 2050.

ON THE GROUND
Our operations on the ground will be FDUERQ QHXWUDO IURP ZLWK RXU RIĠFHV and maintenance facilities already being run on renewable electricity. More than 50% of our ground service equipment (GSE), will be powered by electricity, either fully electric or hybrid, or by biodiesel by 2023. We’ll also continue to grow our HOHFWULĠFDWLRQ SURJUDPPH VR DV PXFK equipment as possible helps reduce our ground-based emissions.
