he travel trade’s favourite suppliers were honoured at the 2025 Travel Weekly Globe Travel
Awards in London last week. Multiple winners were led
by Jet2. com and sister operator Jet2holidays, which won a combined three awards including the coveted Best Trade-Friendly Brand honour. Double winners included
Wendy Wu Tours, which won Best Premium Touring Company and Best Long-Haul Specialist Operator; Gold Medal, which scooped the Best
Long-Haul Operator and Flight-Only Provider awards; G Adventures, winner of the Best Adventure Operator and Sustainable Future accolades; and Holiday Extras, which was named Best Add-Ons Provider and Best Insurance Provider. The Globe awards are based on
thousands of votes from the travel agent readers of Travel Weekly, plus five special awards open for nominations and entry from suppliers. This year’s ceremony took
place in association with consumer media partner Hearst UK at the JW

Travel Weekly Group editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley, alongside TV presenter Claudia Winkleman, who won Best Entertainment Performance at the Bafta Awards 2023 for her role presenting hit BBC reality show The Traitors. Entertainment included
performances by Sam Ryder, who represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, and Rudimental,
who filled the dancefloor with chart-topping hits such as Waiting All Night and Feel the Love. Special awards were presented
to Silversea Cruises managing director Peter Shanks, who won the Outstanding Achievement Award, and Tui accessibility manager Marina Snellenberg, who won the Unsung Hero Award. EasyJet holidays was named
Employer of the Year, while Ocean Holidays won the Travel for All Award for the second year running. Alan Cross, director of travel
