Agents: ‘Are heroes’
Story: Sandals rates agents as ‘unsung heroes’ of pandemic OMG! After eight weeks, finally, some recognition. But sadly, this will never make it into the mainstream media as they would prefer to make us look like the bad guys, which couldn’t be further from the truth right now! Caroline Barrow

Temperature: Tests are flawed
Story: Trailfinders chief sets out alternative to ‘quarantine quagmire’ Temperature is not always a signifier of Covid. Some people have the virus but no temperature; menopausal women have a temperature but no other symptoms. And Covid testing at the airport does not work. If one person tests positive, what do you do with all the other passengers who were on the same transfer bus, or queued up with them, or were in the toilet at the same time as them? Roger Beaver

Staycations: Facilities must reopen as lockdown lifted
Story: Post-pandemic staycations to be ‘encouraged’ by government When the government lifts the lockdown, it needs to have a plan, with dates, so that UK tourism facilities, such as shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, funfairs, piers and toilets, reopen at the same time. Ministers need to start using their ‘common sense’ rather than lecturing the public! Speakthetruth
Refunds: Criticism of travel agents is shameful
Story: Refunds controversy leaves travel sector having to rebuild trust Most travel companies are small and trying to earn a living by working their socks off every day. I agree campaigns aiming to take agents down at this time, when the whole world is suffering, are shameful. The travel industry can’t be held accountable for Covid-19. We all have to share the burden. Guest poster
