Disney Cruise Line unveils sailings for 2024 programme
Disney Cruise Line has released a programme featuring sailings to the Bahamas, the Caribbean and Mexico in early 2024. The line will operate from
Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, New Orleans and San Diego. All sailings from Florida will call at the line’s private island Castaway Cay.
P&O Cruises reveals celeb line-up on two themed 2023 cruises
UK stars from the world of sport and exploration will join two themed cruises on P&O Cruises’ Ventura next year. Both sailings, ‘P&O Cruises
Presents: Sail with the Stars’, will operate in September 2023 and depart from Southampton. Broadcasting trio Sue Barker,
Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell, who have all played top-level international sport, will join the seven-night Spain and Portugal voyage on September 2, 2023. Barker won Junior Wimbledon
before winning the French Open aged 19 and fronted BBC’s coverage of Wimbledon for 29 years. Tufnell is a former England
international cricketer and Dawson appeared 77 times for the England rugby union team. All three became familiar figures during their time on BBC’s Question of Sport programme. The round-trip cruise includes
calls at Vigo, Spain; Lisbon and Leixões, Portugal; and Cherbourg, France, and costs from £629. Adventurer and TV presenter
Ben Fogle, travel journalist Simon Calder and marine biologist Monty Halls, known for his BBC Great Escape series, will join the five-night Global Explorers sailing. Prices for the cruise on September 19 start from £549.

Princess launches biggest UK & Europe programme in history

Princess Cruises is offering almost four million cruise nights for its 2024 UK and Europe season, making it the biggest in the region in its history. The programme, which is on sale now, includes 162
departures across five ships, including the new Sphere- class Sun Princess. The season will cover more than 130 destinations in
34 countries and will run from February to November. In addition to 10-night itineraries from Barcelona
or Rome (Civitavecchia) and seven-night cruises departing from either Rome, Barcelona or Athens, the 4,300-passenger Sun Princess will also make an inaugural visit to Southampton with an overnight stay on September 22. Guests will also have the option to combine three
seven-night itineraries to create a 21-night voyage, while alternative Mediterranean sailings will be available on Island Princess. Prices for the 10-night Grand Mediterranean sailing
162departures will operate across Princess Cruises’ fleet
on Sun Princess departing on May 4, 2024, with calls to Sicily, Naples and Barcelona, start from £1,139. The line is also set to operate its largest Southampton
round-trip deployment, with Sky Princess homeporting for the fourth year running and sailing to northern and southern Europe. Sky Princess will offer a 14-night Land of the
Midnight Sun cruise departing from Southampton on June 15, 2024, Prices for the sailing start from £1,599. The same ship will also operate a 31-night itinerary
to New England and Canada with overnights in both New York City and Quebec, a first for the line. Regal Princess will also sail round-trip British Isles
voyages from Southampton, while Caribbean Princess will complete the Southampton homeport line-up.
