David Moon @DavidMoon_ Advantage Travel Partnership Hi @RishiSunak, imagine 1000s of viable businesses, with millions of pounds of income lined up for next year, but all experiencing cashflow issues now due to restrictions put in place by government. 100,000s of jobs at risk. Are they worth saving?
Liz Sullivan @lilasullivan78 Eagle Travel The best quote ever from a conference: “Luxury is not like Tinder, it’s a long romance,” says Carrier’s @markduguid. Another inspiring morning from the kitchen table – thank you @Hollierae_tw and the @AspireTravel team

Support: Our industry needs a PR push so ministers ‘get it’
Story: Travel industry ‘left high and dry’ by government I don’t think the government understands how our ‘industry’ works. They get hospitality, airports and even airlines, but they don’t get tour operators, travel agents and all the other almost invisible elements of our ‘ecosystem’. Can Aito, Abta, Advantage et al get together and run an urgent PR campaign aimed at the government to get our ‘industry’ message across before it’s too late? For many companies, we’ve already reached that point. Richard Carrick, Richard Carrick Consulting
InteleTravel: Focus?
Story: InteleTravel says ‘low bar of entry’ has been ‘blessing’ during Covid I don’t know of any homeworker who would sign up their own clients to become travel homeworkers. Why would we give away our precious business? It just proves [InteleTravel] are only interested in recruiting, using the draw “become an agent and get your own holidays cheaper”.
Jenny Jackson, Luxury Travel Gurus Q Travel Weekly would welcome a response from InteleTravel
@traveltimeworld Angela ready for take-off – Cyprus here she comes! Just showing how quiet Luton airport is at present – hardly anyone in sight in the departure hall.
Go Travel: So sad
Story: Advantage member Go Travel ceases trading Lynn Kelly: So sad. Our amazing industry has been greatly overlooked by the government and so many experienced people and long-standing agencies have been left to collapse. Tragic.
