Amadeus to boost fleet to 13 ships with 2027 launch


Ella Sagar Amadeus River Cruises will add a


new-build ship to its fleet in 2027. Amadeus Mira will accommodate


158 passengers in 67 cabins and 12 suites with balconies. The ship, which will enter


service in the spring, will be the 13th in the fleet, following the


launch of Amadeus Amara and Amadeus Aurea in 2025 and 2026


respectively. Amadeus Mira will operate a range of itineraries on the


Rhine and Danube. They will include round-trip cruises from Amsterdam, voyages from Trier to Passau and to the Danube Delta, and a 15-day sailing from Amsterdam to Budapest. The ship’s features will include


a sun deck with a pool and bar, and a fitness room, as well as environmental technologies such as a hybrid propulsion system. Prices lead in at £1,420 for


a five-day Magic of Advent on the Rhine cruise, departing on December 12, 2027. The price

includes flights, overseas transfers, all meals, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, gratuities and up to €200 per person in onboard credit. The river cruise operator’s


wider 2027 programme includes 15 itineraries through France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. Thirty new shore excursions


will include a range of active excursions, such as guided cycling tours through the Camargue and the Netherlands, e-bike trips along the Danube in the Wachau and Klosterneuburg regions, and guided hikes. Discounts of up to £1,041 per person are available on bookings
