Princess Cruises plans summer series of UK coastal itineraries
Princess Cruises is to launch a series of short UK cruises this summer from Southampton. TheRegal Princess and Sky
Princess sailings, some of which are for seven nights, are due to go on sale later this month. The programme is being
introduced following the cancellation of international sailings on Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Island Princess through to September 25, 2021. Tony Roberts, the line’s vice-
president for the UK and Europe, said: “More details of dates, itineraries and prices for the new UK cruises will be announced later this month.” Princess Cruises has also
unveiled its 2022-23 South America and Antarctica programme, featuring six itineraries on Sapphire Princess.

Fred Olsen Cruise Line plans 80-day Around the World sailing in 2023
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is offering a new Around the World in 80 days sailing, inspired by fictional explorer Phileas Fogg, in 2023. The 80-day voyage on Borealis departs from Liverpool on February 21, 2023, and includes Mumbai, Hong Kong, Shanghai and San Francisco as ports of call. Prices start from £9,999. Southampton will also be a departure port.

series of UK-based cruises in July The first five sailings by new tall-ship line Tradewind Voyages will now all operate in UK waters to comply with travel restrictions. Golden Horizon’s maiden voyage will be an Eastern Coastal Contrasts sailing, departing Harwich on July 1. It will be followed by departures from Leith on July 6, Greenock on July 15 and July 21 and a sailing from Liverpool on July 25.

P&O replaces cancelled cruises with new ‘staycation’ sailings

P&O Cruises plans to offer a series of short-break and week-long UK sailings out of Southampton this summer. The line said the programme, due to go on sale later
this month, had been created in the wake of recent government announcements. P&O has cancelled previously scheduled cruises
on Arcadia, Aurora, Azura and Ventura until the end of August and on Britannia and Iona until the end of September. President Paul Ludlow said he hoped the new range
of “staycation” sailings would have “wide appeal”. “Following recent government announcements, and
as the vaccine programme is rolled out across the globe, we can all begin to feel a sense of reassurance and hope that this current lockdown period in the UK will come to an end,” he said. “Life can, we hope, slowly return to some semblance

automatically receive a future cruise credit worth 125% of what they paid. This can be redeemed against any new booking made by the end of December 2021, for any cruise on sale. Alternatively, a 100% refund is available via a form
