G Adventures offers training and trips in its ‘Active’ campaign
G Adventures is offering training and webinars and giving away trips to agents throughout March as part of its ‘Active’ campaign. The operator is offering 15%
discounts on activity holidays up to June 30, 2022, booked this month as part of the campaign, which follows a G Adventures survey that found 28% of British travellers plan an ‘active’ element as part of their next overseas holiday. G Adventures hopes the campaign will help agents “cater to a shifting demand for active travel”. Upcoming webinars this
month will focus on mainland Europe and the eastern Mediterranean, on March 17, and European islands, such as Corfu, Crete and Cyprus, on March 24. Both will start at 11am. Agents who attend the
webinars will be entered into a draw to win a spot on one of G Adventures’ European trips, from river cruising in Burgundy and hiking the Corfu Trail to sailing along the coastlines of Croatia or the Canary Islands.

Shearings aims to cultivate bookings for new short breaks to Floriade Expo
Shearings has added short breaks to the Floriade Expo to its Flowers and Garden range for 2022. The escorted coach tour operator’s holidays to the Netherlands event, held once every 10 years, can be secured with a £1 deposit until March 31, with balances due six weeks before travel. Four and five-day breaks between April and October start from £399, with hotel accommodation.

Tourism Western Australia to host virtual roadshows next month
Tourism Western Australia is to host a virtual educational roadshow next month. The Western Australia Roadshow will update the trade on the state’s selling points, popular itineraries and ‘big trip’ ideas. Abercrombie & Kent and sister brand Cox & Kings have launched a ‘Book with Confidence’ hub for agents to find information about travel restrictions. It will be regularly updated with travel corridor
details and links to Foreign Office advice. The brands have also updated their flexible booking
policies. Cox & Kings is taking deposits for group tours from £100 along with a price guarantee and ‘right to refund’ promise. Managing director Kerry Golds said: “Our trade
partners and their clients are looking for reassurance and peace of mind for a stress-free holiday.” Meanwhile, Abercrombie & Kent has revealed its
programme of small-group Wings Over the World Journeys by private jet for next year. New for 2022 is an 11-day journey across New
