Intrepid boosts Canada tours with Indigenous activities


Intrepid Travel has introduced new Indigenous-led tourism experiences to two of its itineraries in Canada. With these additions, nine


of the operator’s 12 Canada itineraries now include an Indigenous-led experience. One experience comes through


a new partnership with Talaysay Tours, an Indigenous-owned company in British Columbia. The organisations have


introduced a ‘We Are the Land’ experience in Whistler, bringing cultural ecology, stewardship and storytelling to Intrepid’s Grand Canadian Rockies itinerary. Intrepid will also add a Huron-

G Adventures adds 17 National Geographic Signature itineraries

G Adventures has further expanded its National Geographic Signature range with 17 new itineraries. The upmarket collection of expedition tours


launched in January, offering “rare access, expert insight and meaningful connections”. It was expanded in April and these latest additions


bring the number of trips to 67 across 48 destinations. New experiences include visiting an Indigenous


community-owned elephant sanctuary in Kenya; learning about Iceland’s geology; and venturing into New Zealand’s Waitomo Glowworm Caves with a renowned ecologist. The new trips include Signature: Kenya’s Wildlife


& Cultural Heritage, from £8,649 for eight days, and Signature: New Zealand, Milford Sound & Māori Culture, a 13-day trip from Auckland to Christchurch, from £9,999. Others include Signature: Rwanda’s Primate


German carrier to launch flights from Bristol, Glasgow, Inverness


Lufthansa Group leisure carrier Discover Airlines will launch its first UK routes next year. Frankfurt will be served with twice-weekly flights from Bristol from May 17, a six-times-a-week service from Glasgow from March 29 and a weekly summer link from Inverness from June 19. Eurostar adds Antwerp stop on London link from December 14


Eurostar will add Antwerp as a direct outbound link from London St Pancras from December 14. The Belgian city will be served by up to four trains a day on existing services to Amsterdam, also calling at Lille, Brussels and Rotterdam. Jet2 targets Eurovision fans with Burgas links from more airports


Jet2.com has added flights from Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow and Manchester airports for Eurovision fans travelling to Burgas in Bulgaria for the 2027 contest.
