Travel 2 adds 37 tours in Australasia

Travel 2 has added 37 tours and 53 hotels to its 2017-18 Australia & New Zealand brochure.


The trade-only worldwide


operator has seen increased demand for luxury properties and tours in the region and has added more higher-end experiences to its 2018 programme. These include the Outback Floatplane Adventure on a private-island retreat in Darwin and a two-day gourmet food and wine tour of South Australia.


In New Zealand, Travel 2 is


increasing its sightseeing offering and has introduced walking tours over dormant volcanic craters and guided sunset walks. Travel 2 has seen a 25%


year-on-year revenue increase to Australia and more than 40% year-on-year growth in revenue to New Zealand’s North Island. There has also been a rise in the

Contiki introduces Independent Insider for flexible travel


Contiki has introduced a travel style that agents can use “like building blocks” to put together flexible group tours for customers. The Independent Insider tool


allows agents to customise trips so travellers can dip in to different parts of group tours. Each Independent Insider trip


offers the choice of up to four cities, with three nights in each,


meaning trips can be for three, six, nine or 12 nights. Customers choose how many cities they want to visit and their start and end points – which
