TV star Monty Halls to sail on HX cruises
HX Hurtigruten Expeditions will host broadcaster and explorer Monty Halls on three voyages in his new role as UK brand ambassador. His first trip will be a voyage to the Galápagos on November 19, leading in at £5,124. He will also sail on two Scottish Isles expeditions, both departing in May 2026.

Virgin Voyages has launched a three-tier fare structure for bookings from October 7. The VoyageFair Choices
pricing range will apply to Sea Terrace Cabins and below. The Base Fare includes a new
basic Wi-Fi package for one device per passenger, a 15-day pre-voyage dining reservation window and no name, cabin or date changes. The Essential Fare offers a
Wi-Fi package for one device per passenger, a 45-day dining reservation window and the ability to adjust voyage dates using a Future Voyage credit and make name changes for second, third and fourth passengers. The Premium Fare includes
a 60-day dining reservation window, Wi-Fi for two devices per passenger, a bar tab and access to a priority support line for pre-voyage booking.

Oceania Cruises schedules 230 voyages in 2027-28 collection

Oceania Cruises has opened sales for its 2027-28 itineraries through to April 2028. The collection includes more than 230 voyages, with
itineraries ranging from seven to 96 days. Highlights include the line’s first winter season in the Mediterranean and its “most extensive collection” of voyages in Europe. Oceania Allura will sail the Mediterranean between
November and March, offering passengers the chance to explore during “the cooler and less-travelled months”. Oceania Riviera will return to Alaska to operate a
series of seven to 11-day cruises, several of which are round trips from Seattle. Longer voyages in the programme are the 59-day
South Pacific Grand Voyage and the 96-day South Pacific, India, Arabia and Europe Grand Voyage, both on Oceania Vista.
MSC Cruises to install Yacht Club on Poesia ahead of first Alaska season

MSC Cruises plans to add its luxury all-inclusive accommodation option to MSC Poesia ahead of its inaugural Alaska season next year. The refurbishment will add MSC Yacht Club to the ship for the first time, with 63 new suites across five categories and new private venues for suite guests only. Two speciality restaurants, Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar, will also be added.

The shorter cruise departs from Miami in October
and will cross the Panama Canal to sail to Hawaii, French Polynesia and Australia. The longer cruise will begin in Auckland and visit
southeast Asia, Egypt and the Mediterranean. Oceania Riviera and Oceania Vista will offer sailings
throughout Asia, including stops in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand. Oceania Insignia will embark on its Farewell Tour in 2027 before leaving the fleet in November to join a residential cruise company. Insignia will sail the British Isles, Norway and the
Baltic over the summer, and will visit ports such as Monte Carlo, Venice, Athens, Zante and Bodrum, before concluding its journey in Civitavecchia. A nine-day round-trip cruise from Rome on
January 31, 2028, on Allura starts from £1,909.

Royal’s Legend of the Seas to set sail ‘ahead of schedule’ next July
Royal Caribbean has brought forward Legend of the Seas’ inaugural sailing next summer as construction is “ahead of schedule”. The line has added three seven- night sailings, on July 11, July 18 and July 25, ahead of the original August 2 launch. Fares for the July 18 round-trip sailing from Civitavecchia lead in at £1,510.
