WestJet adds Toronto routes from Scotland Canadian airline WestJet will fly to Toronto from Glasgow and Edinburgh next summer. The non-stop Glasgow service will begin on May 21 with four flights a week, followed by three- times-a-week Edinburgh flights from June 2. The carrier will also restart its Glasgow route to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in May.

Great Little Breaks recruits Lynch to support trade sales
UK specialist Great Little Breaks has recruited Sam Lynch as a trade sales support executive to help the operator’s agency sales continue to grow. Lynch joins the operator from
Newport agency La Vida Travel, having previously worked for Super Break and Newmarket Holidays. Her appointment follows the
launch of the operator’s trade booking system, which enables agents to book packages such as theatre and city breaks. Since opening to the rest of the
trade in late June, 1,000 agents have signed up and more than 1,000 passengers have booked. A one-night stay on
December 23 in the Novotel London Paddington, with tickets to see Wicked, costs £439 for four people. A four-night October break in an executive room in a London hotel, with

Cunard changes QM2’s restart sailings ‘to be closer to home’

Cunard has replaced four restart sailings on flagship Queen Mary 2 with a three-night cruise break and a 12-night Canary Islands itinerary. The new sailings, both departing from Southampton,
have been added to ensure the 2,691-passenger ship can be inspected in line with regulatory requirements. Cunard president Simon Palethorpe confirmed the
line wanted the itineraries “to be closer to home” as the ship resumed cruise operations after an 18-month break. The changes mean Queen Mary 2 will now return to
service on November 28 and call back into New York on December 20 – two days before originally scheduled. The cancelled cruises are a transatlantic crossing
departing on November 14, a Caribbean sailing, a return transatlantic cruise to Southampton and a
