We’ve had a fantastic time and immersed ourselves in all that Luna has to offer. We’ve done the Aqua
Slidecoaster, the drop slide and mini golf and we’ve watched some brilliant entertainment. The Slidecoaster was daunting at first but once you’re on and you get the thrill of the thrust, it’s just an absolutely epic ride. It starts off really fast and goes on for a while. The drop slide was even more scary as the floor just goes from beneath you after the countdown. It was fantastic. The Elton show [Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John] was world-class, West End-style entertainment. Everybody was dancing and it was really immersive with the performers coming out into the audience. We have an exciting year ahead of us, planning loads of different things with NCL.

has the best offering for solos. It can be daunting to travel alone and it’s a big thing we get asked about. Getting on board NCL, and especially the likes of Norwegian Luna, there are cabins that are designed for solo travellers with no supplement. There is access to purposefully designed Solo Studio Lounges along with hosted gatherings and other activities. It’s incredible. In this day and age, with solo travel becoming so popular, it’s important to be able to offer people that little safeguard. Luna has one of the biggest solo areas as it’s part of the Prima Plus Class, so it sells very well for us. If someone asks about a solo cruise, NCL is my go-to.

For me, the main draw of NCL is that
it is somewhere everyone can feel accepted and welcome. This was made even more clear to me on the beautiful Norwegian Luna. It’s very fitting that 10 years ago, after my husband and I adopted our son, we took our first family holiday on Norwegian Epic. We were anxious about taking our first trip overseas as part of the LGBTQ community and how we would be received by staff and guests, but this was quickly quashed. Being on this brand-new ship brought back all the great memories. That is the standout moment to me being on board. There is no better feeling than sailing the oceans with thousands of fellow cruise passengers, sailing as one and all coming together to have the most fantastic holiday.
