Disneyland Paris plans Star Wars, Frozen, Marvel areas

Disneyland Paris is to open themed areas for Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars in a major €2 billion expansion project.


The development will see


the Walt Disney Studios Park transformed to include the three new areas, together with attractions, live entertainment, and a new lake as the focal point. Disney said plans for the new


areas, which will start opening from 2021, were among its most ambitious since it opened in 1992. French president Emmanuel


Macron was in attendance as Roger Iger, Walt Disney Company’s chairman and chief executive, announced the multi-year plans at the Palais de l’Elysée in Paris. The new areas will “infuse”


some of Disney’s most popular stories and characters, and build on the resort’s 25th anniversary last year and recent two-year refurbishment that saw existing
