Amadeus offers ‘enhanced commission’ on group bookings
Amadeus River Cruises has amended its group policy by offering higher commission, free places and early-booking discounts in two new packages. Both types of package are
based on live online pricing and offer agents an early-booking discount, a free place for every 21 people booked and “enhanced commission”. The Protected Allocation
package is intended for group organisers, tour operators and agents where capacity “needs to be guaranteed” and will be held and protected with a non-refundable deposit. The Live Availability option is
for agents and agencies focusing on sales for targeted departures. The move has been prompted
by “a double-digit percentage increase” in group bookings and enquiries.
