Tui introduces Cairo city breaks with flights from three UK airports
Tui has launched Cairo city breaks in response to rising demand for winter-sun and cultural escapes. The packages include flights
from Heathrow, Manchester and Gatwick with British Airways, Egyptair and easyJet. Agents can offer clients
flexible packages, combining hotels in Cairo and nearby Giza with optional experiences including guided tours, Nile cruises and museum visits. A five-night holiday to Cairo,
staying at the Nile Sky Suites Hotel on a B&B basis, costs from £696. The price is based on two adults sharing, flying from Heathrow on February 23. Chris Logan, Tui UK & Ireland

EasyJet unveils new links from Newcastle and Manchester

EasyJet has unveiled new routes to Lisbon and Rome Fiumicino from its new Newcastle base, as well as to Bari from Manchester. The budget carrier and its sister operator easyJet
holidays announced plans last May to open a three- aircraft base at Newcastle Airport in March 2026. The base will become the airline’s 11th in the UK. The new routes will launch this summer, with
Newcastle to Rome flights starting on March 30 and flights to Lisbon from June 22. Both routes will include flights on Mondays and Fridays, making them suitable for long weekend city breaks. The new Manchester-Bari link takes off from July 3,
departing twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. EasyJet holidays is offering package breaks to all three destinations, including flights, accommodation,
New podcast for agents pledges to go Beyond the Brochure
B2B marketing and events company Galaxi has launched Beyond the Brochure, a podcast for travel agents. Galaxi said podcasts will offer agents “destination and product insight through honest, engaging conversations rather than sales messaging”. The debut episode is produced in partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.

Birmingham gains Wizz Air route to Timisoara in western Romania
Wizz Air is to start flying from Birmingham to Timisoara in western Romania. The service will operate on Thursdays and Sundays from May 21, with one-way fares starting at £22.99. The budget carrier said the link strengthens its presence at Birmingham Airport, where it now serves seven destinations, including new routes to Sibiu and Rome.
