Ryanair boosts Morocco programme with seven UK routes
Ryanair is adding seven UK- Morocco routes this summer as part of an estimated $1.4 billion expansion in the country. The commitment is expected
to see a 33% growth in passengers flying with the no-frills carrier to and from the country compared with 2023. New UK routes will serve
Agadir from Birmingham, Bournemouth and Edinburgh, while Marrakech will gain flights from Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds Bradford airports. A fourth Ryanair base in
Morocco will open at Tangier with two aircraft and will gain a link from Manchester. Overall, the summer 2024
schedule sees 14 aircraft deployed
across four Moroccan airports.

Jet2 expands Italy range with more seats and longer seasons

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have extended their summer flying seasons to Italy in 2024 and 2025 with an additional 20,000 seats being laid on. This year’s summer season is being extended until
mid-November in response to strong demand, while flights and holidays have also been added in April and November 2025. The extension into mid-November sees more flights
to Sicily from Manchester and Stansted airports, as well as additional capacity to Sardinia and Verona. Flights are on sale to Sicily from Birmingham,
Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford and Stansted for April 2025. Extra flights have also been added from Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted to Sicily in late summer 2025. Sardinia sees more services in September, October and November this year from Manchester and more
Manchester and Stansted gain links to Amman with Royal Jordanian
Royal Jordanian Airlines will launch routes from Manchester and Stansted to Amman. Four flights a week are scheduled to operate from Stansted from March 3 and three a week from Manchester from March 6. The two UK airports join the carrier’s growing European network after opening routes to Lyon, Milan, Stockholm, Düsseldorf and Brussels over the past 11 months.

BA CityFlyer launches Stansted flights to Florence, Ibiza and Nice
BA CityFlyer will start Stansted flights to Florence, Ibiza and Nice from May 18 using Embraer 190 jets. It will be the first time BA has offered flights from Stansted since the pandemic. One-way fares start at £41 to Florence, £36 to Ibiza and £43 to Nice. BA is also adding Gatwick-Agadir from March 31.
