Tui to launch Nile river cruises from November 2024

Tui is to start operating Nile cruises served by charter flights from Gatwick and Manchester. A refurbished 145-berth ship
will run seven-night sailings from Luxor starting in November 2024. Named Tui Al Horeya, the
all-inclusive vessel will include cabins for solo holidaymakers. Sailings will feature Egyptologist
guides, while facilities will include a swimming pool, two whirlpools,
entertainment area, restaurant, outdoor dining, lounge bar, wellness studio and a shop. Two flights a week on
Thursdays will operate to serve the ship between November 7, 2024, and April 24, 2025. Prices start at £1,399 per person
based on two adults sharing a Superior French Balcony Cabin, with flights from Gatwick on December 5, 2024. The fare includes two

Temple of Horus in Edfu and the Temple of Kom Ombo in Aswan. Tui Al Horeya will be the fourth
in the Tui River Cruises fleet of adult-only ships. The expansion into Egypt
follows strong demand, with river cruise bookings increasing by 40% compared with last year. The line’s existing three
European ships are on sale for festive sailings in winter 2024-25, including two new seven-night itineraries over New Year’s Eve in
Frankfurt and Cologne in addition to an existing Rhine itinerary. Tui cruise managing director
Chris Hackney said: “Tui River Cruises is going from strength to strength, and we are are confident our customers will love this latest offering. A cruise along the Nile offers a serene and unforgettable experience, with lush landscapes, traditional villages and other iconic landmarks such as the
temples of Luxor and Edfu.”
