Day 2 | Discover the city of Lima Enjoy a Lima City Tour, including lunch, which will introduce you to the city’s historical centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with elegant Spanish colonial architecture. You’ll also visit the fascinating Larco museum, which holds the best private collection of Pre- Columbian art in the country.

Day 4 | Back in time to a lost world Catch a train from Ollantaytambo, in the Sacred Valley, and stop at the small town of Aguas Calientes to catch a bus to Machu Picchu - the so-called lost city of the Incas. Enjoy a guided tour of this once-hidden settlement and take in the peaceful atmosphere as you face at the lowland jungle from this city in the clouds.

Day 6 | Straddle the Equator at the Middle of the World City Enjoy a guided tour of Quito’s Old Town – a UNESCO World Heritage site packed with well-preserved colonial-era architecture, including colourful plazas, magnificent churches and monuments. Wander through cobblestoned streets and sample some delicious chocolate made from the finest Ecuadorian cacao. Next, you’ll head to the iconic ‘Middle of the World City’, located around 16 miles north of Quito, to visit the famous monument that delineates the imaginary line of the Equator.

Day 7 | Get ready to explore the spectacular Galàpagos Islands After breakfast, a short flight will take you to Baltra Island in the spectacular Galápagos archipelago where your expedition ship, MS Santa Cruz II, awaits. Your exploration begins in the afternoon with a landing on Santa Cruz island where you’ll walk to a brackish lagoon that’s frequented by shorebirds and American Flamingos. Further inland, the trail offers a beautiful view of the bay and the western islands, as well as a chance to spot your first land iguanas.


Day 5 | Quito – city of eternal spring Today you’ll catch a flight via Lima to Quito. At 9,350 feet, it’s the second-highest capital city in the world.
