Edinburgh and Dublin have gained additional transatlantic links with new JetBlue services to New York and Boston. Daily seasonal services from Dublin to New York’s
JFK airport and Boston will take off from March 14, 2024, and continue through to September 30. From Edinburgh, a daily service to New York JFK
will operate from May 23 until September 30, 2024. The new routes mark JetBlue’s fourth and fifth
transatlantic departure points. The carrier currently offers daily non-stop services
to New York from London, Paris and Amsterdam, plus Boston from London and Amsterdam. Robin Hayes, chief executive of JetBlue, said: “The
success of our transatlantic service proves customers don’t have to choose between great service and low
fares and can have them both with our award-winning Mint [premium] and Core [economy] products. “Our summer seasonal service to Dublin and
Edinburgh will bring a new level of service and affordable fares to these markets that have been dominated by high-fare legacy carriers for decades. “We look forward to introducing the JetBlue
experience to business and leisure customers travelling this summer to and from Ireland and Scotland.” The airline’s premium Mint cabin features fully
lie-flat private suites with a sliding door. Flights from Dublin and Edinburgh will operate
daily on JetBlue’s Airbus A321neo with 16 Mint Suite seats and 144 Core seats. Introductory return fares for journeys starting in
Ireland or Scotland are from €399 and £399 for Core and €1,499 and £1,499 for Mint.
