Kent asks the Gentleman to go to Dover and give Cordelia an accurate account of what has happened to Lear and how he is suffering. Imagine you are the Gentleman. Write the speech you would deliver in which you explain the reasons for Lear’s mental distress and the way he is behaving now. Your speech should aim to impress upon Cordelia just how much Lear is suffering.
