Bell wins retrofi t contractor of the year at The Retrofi t Academy Awards 2025
B
ell has been awarded Retrofi t Contractor of the Year at the 2025 Retrofi t Academy CIC Awards ceremony in London. T e panel,
made up of industry leaders from businesses and academic institutions, recognised that Bell’s excellent record of customer satisfaction and its consideration of all aspects of the retrofi t journey has set it apart from other contractors. Run by the UK’s leading retrofi t training
and membership organisation, the awards are designed to recognise the best the retrofi t industry has to off er and celebrate those blazing the trail
for retrofi t in the UK. In this category, the judges were looking for
evidence that entrants were consistently delivering high-quality, large-scale PAS 2035 compliant projects, responding to challenging timescales while maintaining excellent levels of customer service and embracing innovation to help raise standards and increase delivery. T e judges commented that Bell’s entry “shows
the desire to push boundaries and takes into consideration every part of a retrofi t journey for all stakeholders”. T ey also commended Bell’s high performance KPIs for customer satisfaction and the repeat business they receive. Investment that allows the company to carry out all the work for retrofi t projects in-house was also noted, combined with the necessary internal upskilling to get the best out of employees. All of these factors helped ensure Bell was able to diff erentiate its strategy from competitors and secure this prestigious prize. Steven Tucker, Executive Director of

Senior takes the lead on sustainability with new appointment
S
enior Architectural Systems, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned manufacturers of aluminium windows, doors, and curtain
walling, has appointed Luke Osborne to the newly created role of UK sustainability lead. Luke brings with him a wealth of industry
experience, having worked with a number of major building products manufacturers to help establish and develop environmental initiatives, sustainability policies, and reliable carbon data sources. In his new role, Luke will advance the
existing work Senior has been doing to reduce the environmental impact of its business operations, and provide its customers with accurate calculations relating to embodied and operational carbon. Key to this will be the development of environmental product declaration (EPD) documents across Senior’s extensive range of aluminium windows, doors, and curtain wall systems, as well as a robust roadmap to support Senior’s net zero, biodiversity, and waste reduction targets. Luke will work closely with Senior’s
architectural advisory team to support the company’s main contractors and specifi cation partners, as well as ensuring that its network of fabricators and installers can also benefi t from the company’s investment in sustainability. Commenting, Senior’s new UK sustainability lead, Luke Osborne, said: “My role here at Senior
