Luceco Lighting Controls at East Midlands Ambulance Service Call Centre

uceco has recently lit facilities at Horizon Place for East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS


Trust


(EMAS). EMAS provides emergency care and patient transport services for 4.8 million people. Phase 1 of the project included the relighting of the Incoming Call Centre, a very busy environment operating 24/7 and a pivotal element of the services provided by EMAS. The open plan space required eight zones which could be separately controlled


providing various levels of illumination to assist with the activities of the call centre and to help promote wellbeing in a setting dealing with emergency situations.


Recessed LuxPanel Extra luminaires were used throughout the installation controlled by Luceco’s wireless lighting control system – Platform. Platform is an innovative controls solution making the planning, configuration, and commissioning of wireless lighting controls accessible to many applications from large open plan commercial environments and warehouse spaces to conference rooms, corridors, and smaller office layouts. Existing and new installations can be transformed into a flexible wireless controlled infrastructure. Platform sensors were used to provide occupancy and daylight dimming facilities with Platform switches pre-set with scenes for different lux levels depending on the time of day and staff shift arrangements. AET at Bridge House, Southwark


An extensive refurbishment of Grade II listed building Bridge House will create light, and airy contemporary CAT-A offi ce space which will incorporate AET’s innovative and highly adaptive underfl oor air conditioning (UfAC) system across all fi ve fl oors. AET’s CAM-V (fl oor supply, high level return) system was selected by consulting engineers and long standing supporters Milieu Consult as the most appropriate air conditioning solution, as it offered the highest level of fl exibility and adaptability as well as enabling the generous fl oor to ceiling heights to maximised at the same time. An underfl oor air conditioning system effi ciently and effectively makes use of the void beneath a raised access fl oor to create the air ventilation path, eliminating the need for unsightly ceiling-based services. A total of 13 CAM-V33 Conditioned Air Modules (CAM’s) were installed across fi ve fl oors which are served by high- effi ciency, roof mounted heat pump units. Conditioned air is delivered into the space by AET’s market leading fan assisted Fantile™ units which fi t seamlessly within the raised fl oor void.
