he fritted pattern of the glazing between the timber structure of Te Whare Nui o Tuteata – otherwise
known as Scion Timber Innovation Hub in Rotorua – depicts the surrounding forests that inspired its design. And similarly the
building is intended to act as a bastion that proudly displays what timber is capable of. Located on the edge of the redwood treeline of Whakarewarewa Forest Park, the project, commissioned by New Zealand’s Government, brings much of the institute’s
