Dr. Mathias Woydt is managing partner of MATRILUB Materials Tribology Lubrication, with more than 35 years of experience in R&D and with more than 350 publications and 50 plus priority patents filed. A STLE Fellow, he is the recipient of ASTM award of excellence and the pr=estigious ASTM eagle award, as well as a board member of the German Society for Tribology. He can be reached at
