I always enjoy meeting candidates, talking to them and listening to them describe their experience helps me to understand their career expectations better and to find out about new developments in the industry. It is also a good opportunity for candidates to understand how I can help them.
3 What are you working on at the moment?
1 Describe your role. My role is to find
candidates’ strengths and match them to the right roles. Since I work on behalf of publishers, I also play a role in representing these organisations to prospective employees. As we meet all the candidates we represent, there is also the opportunity to provide career advice.
I am currently helping STM learned society with some brand-new editorial roles for its expanded team. I am also helping a book publisher to find a senior production controller to work on their colour non-fiction titles. It can take a lot of searching, but it is very satisfying when you help make the perfect match.

Also, be patient and wait for the right one to come along.
