OSMAN: CLINGING TO THE PEAK
two weeks, which held steady at around £27m. Perhaps this increase is the direct result of a flood of new releases hiting the shelves. Combined sales of the top 50 books tallied 329,661 units—an 11% increase on the previous week (298,331 copies). King’s collection
of 12 stories, You Like it Darker, led the new releases in second position behind Osman and first in Original Fiction. He was joined in the top 10 by writerly heavy- weights David Walliams, David Mitchell, Colm Tóibín and Jeffrey Archer, along with newcomer Megan Scot.

the Publisher E-Book ranking with Romancing Mr Bridgerton and Daphne’s Story. Last week, all three steamy seasons of “Bridgerton” hit Netflix’s top 10 UK TV shows and it seems viewers are diving straight under the covers—book covers, obviously. Robinne Lee’s The Idea of You, which has also been
adapted for the small screen, continued to enjoy a boost from the film currently streaming on Amazon Prime, though it dropped from sixth to eighth place in the Publisher E-Book ranking last week. Crime and SFF continued to compete for readers’
affection against romance in the e-book charts love triangle. Crime claimed 11 spots in the Bookstat Top 20, while SFF nabbed five spots in the Publisher E-Book Top 20. Meanwhile, Jill Mansell’s 2008 novel Open House resurfaced in 15th on the Bookstat charts alongside a handful of romance novels. The latest literary release from Colm Tóibín broke
