Retail Sales


February 2018 retail sales totaled $44.5 million, a 3.5% increase over February 2017 sales. Year-to-date retail sales totaled $94.0 million through February which is a 3.2% increase from the same time period in 2017.


Building Permits


Through February a total of 145 building permits valuing $8.2 million were issued by the City of Ardmore. This is an increase from 2017 when 123 permits valuing $7.4 million were issued.


Carter County Unemployment


The unemployment rate for January was 4.5% and represented 1,021 persons within the Carter County Labor Force. This is down from January 2017 when the unemployment rate was 5.1% or 1,165 persons.
