2018 LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS LUNCHEONS TO BEGIN THIS MONTH
As the voice for the business com- munity, the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce represents business inter- ests in public policy and civic arenas by tracking legislative issues and advocating for business interests to government officials on the local, state and federal levels. Te Chamber represents the interests of sound policy to give businesses a competitive edge, allow them to hire more workers, and expand in southern Oklahoma.
To bring these issues home for our members, the Chamber hosts bi-weekly Legislative Luncheons during the legislative sessions. Te presentations rotate between state and
local elected officials.

ARDMORE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
AYP a great start to the year with our 2018 Kickoff Meeting bringing in over 30 young professionals, and February will be full of events! AYP (along with other organizations around Ardmore) will be participating in the Southern Oklahoma Night to Shine sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation on Friday, February 9th. Last year the event was a huge success and we look forward to another successful evening. AYP will be heading up the Food Committee for the evening and we are still in need of volunteers. AYP will be hosting our first AYP 101 of the year on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 5:30 pm at john. located at 111 A St NE (across from Café Alley). This is a time for new members to learn about the different aspects of AYP and how to get involved.
Our 2018 Leadership Series is kicking off with look at communication on February 23rd from 11:45 am – 1 pm at the Mayfield Event Room at 691 12th Ave. NW. Brawn Lide will walk us through the DISC personality styles and how to communicate with each. You won’t want to miss this interactive lunch! Admission is free for AYP members. If you are not a member, but would like to attend admission is $15.00 and includes lunch.
