This issue of Studio was produced with the entire team working from their individual homes. There were a few challenges as we struggled with variable broadband speeds and incompatible software, but persistence paid off and we made it. Of course, we also continue to send out Studio Briefi ng, our weekly email newsletter.


Some magazines simply regurgitate press releases, but at Studio we aim to give you something more - an enjoyable and thought- provoking read. I hope each month you fi nd something to interest and inspire you and this issue is no exception. We have a fascinating feature on incorporating art into an interiors scheme (page 12) as well as a masterclass in how to light art from John Cullen Lighting (page 16). On page 28, Emily Brooks talks to designers who tackle outdoor as well as indoor spaces. And on page 8, you can meet Esther Patterson – the talented designer behind lighting brand Curiousa & Curiousa.


I realise this is a rather self-congratulatory editorial. But I am extremely proud of what the Studio team achieved this month and now I hope you enjoy the results.
