Haiti Air Ambulance recently returned to service. After losing its vendor in early 2020, Haiti Air Ambulance has purchased and outfitted an N407J as a medically configured aircraft, and has contracted with Classic Aviation out of Salt Lake City, Utah, to operate the aircraft. Since restarting operations in December of 2020, Haiti Air Ambulance has already transported over 100 Haitians in need of advanced medical care. Haiti Air Ambulance provides world-class air medical care utilizing medical staff from both the United States and Haiti. Haiti Air Ambulance is a New York-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, and transports citizens and visitors in Haiti regardless of their ability to pay. Erickson Renews Fire Contract with Hellenic Republic for 2021

Erickson Incorporated recently announced its firefighting contracts in the Hellenic Republic of Greece have been renewed for the 2021 fire season.

During Erickson’s 21+ years of support to the Hellenic Fire Service, it’s had an impressive list of major achievements that include saving lives; supporting the 2004 Olympics; saving the Ancient Olympia Museum and the adjacent archeological sites; saving the archeological site of Ancient Messini; and the distinct honor of being recognized by the president of the Hellenic Republic.

“We are honored to continue our longstanding relationship in the Hellenic Republic of Greece. We couldn’t ask for a better partner in the Hellenic Fire Service. Our crews have done heroic work over the years and I am confident they will continue to excel,” said Doug Kitani, president and CEO of Erickson.

The project marks the first time Spectrum Aeromed has worked with Haiti Air Ambulance. “A new customer is always exciting,” said Matthew Christenson, VP account executive for Spectrum Aeromed. “Haiti Air Ambulance is an experienced team, and we are very proud to be able to support them with the addition of this new Bell 407 helicopter to their program.”

Haiti Air Ambulance is the leading provider of emergency medical helicopter services in Haiti; it is the only service in the country flying critically ill or injured patients to emergency medical care providers.

“Assisting with their mission of providing service to the people of Haiti and working directly with the flight medical team gives us great pride. We look forward to hearing how our equipment helps support and build their mission”, Christenson continued.

Cory Oaks, program director with Haiti Air Ambulance shared, “Haiti Air Ambulance is excited for the completion of our new aircraft and our return to service for the citizens of Haiti. The configuration and interior components allow us to transport patients in our unique environment and stand up to its rigorous demands.”
