Mud Make, Bake, Celebrate
Nearly everyone likes to celebrate with food – feasts, birthdays, parties. Choose an occasion and plan a menu with the children. With the simplest pieces of equipment – bowls, wooden spoons, plates – along with some of the food stones suggested below, the children will be able to create celebratory food for any occasion – just add mud! Planning, measuring, shaping, decorating, and serving will consolidate and develop language and numeracy skills, as well as gross and fi ne motor capabilities.
