announcement of Mindenhurst Care Village follows extensive consultations with local residents and Surrey Heath Borough Council. Liakat Hasham, co-founder and CEO of CHD Living, said: “As we unveil the plans for the Mindenhurst Care Village, I am reminded of the profound impact state of the art design and thoughtful leadership can have on the quality of care we provide. With Mindenhurst, we’re reimagining the future of living and care for older people and those in need of specialised support. This initiative is a testament to our desire to setting a new standard for care that is rooted in understanding, respect, and a relentless pursuit of betterment. Mindenhurst represents not just our vision, but our promise to the community, to our residents, and to future generations.”

Richard Kirkpatrick, project director of the Mindenhurst Development, said: “We are delighted to welcome CDH Living to the Mindenhurst Development, where we aim to create a vibrant community that caters to the needs of its residents. This new modern care home will undoubtedly contribute to this vision by providing care and support to the residents. We are excited to see their vision come to life and witness the positive impact it will have on the development and the wider community.”

and we have our first resident’s living with us, it’s really started to feel like home – especially now we’ve cut the ribbon and had a party to celebrate!

Bristol home opens new residential wing

Fairview Court Care Home in Kingswood, Bristol, has opened a new residential wing following a major refurbishment. The home, which provides residential, dementia, respite, and nursing care, has increased its capacity by nearly a quarter from 66 to 81 beds. The opening of the new wing was attended by the Labour candidate for Kingswood, Damien Egan, along with residents of Fairview Court and their friends and families.

Residents Molly Saunders and Yvonne

Evans, who lived as neighbours in the original space, and who have forged a long- standing friendship at Fairview Court, cut the ribbon to officially open the new wing. Pyela Mwale, care home manager at Fairview Court, said: “We are delighted to have opened our new wing at Fairview Court Care Home, which will increase the provision of high-quality elderly care for people in the Kingswood area and beyond. “This extension was a serious undertaking, and like most projects of its scale it has had its ups-and-downs, but we couldn’t be more thrilled by how beautiful the new rooms and facilities are and we’re really looking forward to welcoming new residents to our home.” Damien Egan, former MP for

Kingswood and current Labour candidate for Kingswood, said: “I was so pleased to attend the opening of Fairview Court’s new residential wing. “It was a pleasure to meet so many residents and their families and this modern extension will provide superb accommodation for those requiring residential or nursing care now and in the future. It is a very welcome addition to the residential care home capacity in Kingswood.”

“Our whole team wants to create a warm,

inclusive, and vibrant community where the people we support can thrive, families can find support, and where compassionate care is at the forefront of everything we do. “We know this type of service is in high demand for individuals and families in the local area and our dedicated team is looking forward to working with local commissioners, social workers, and families to make a positive difference to people that need long term nursing care and support.”
