DiMH 2021 AWARDS Estates & Facilities Team of the Year Award Concept Product Innovation of the Year Award

l Environment: CEF Teams have been working with ‘Sow the City’ to develop a Green Health Walk around the Prestwich site to encourage staff, visitors, and service-users, to get out into the open air to improve mental health and wellbeing.

l Co-production: GMMH has a Service-User Representative (SUR) strategy which promotes co-production by involving paid individuals with lived experience to work on capital programmes, and in customer satisfaction surveying, policy, and service design.

l Communications: All capital investment projects now require completion of mandatory Project Directories, which

give all stakeholders accessible contact details for all involved in the project deliverables. All live capital projects now display project information boards to keep service-users, staff, and visitors, informed on ‘what is happening, any disruptions, when work is occurring, and when it is due for completion’.

l Therapeutic impact: The CEF team has promoted the therapeutic impact that frontline staff in domestic services and foodservice have on patient recovery.

l Performance management: As part of its contract management work, the team liaises with SURs and clinical staff to receive feedback on service specifications operations.

Alan Newman, a director at TB+A, presented this award to the CEF team at GMMH NHS Foundation Trust.

Concept Product Innovation of the Year The winner of the 2021 Concept Product Innovation of the Year Award was Vistamatic, for its EVista Vision Panel, which features banded vision areas controllable by a touchpad, fob, or key, and a switchable glass interlayer to offer a larger vision area. EVista is ‘fully anti- ligature, with no handles or external operating devices required’. The operator can decide how much of the panel they need to make clear or opaque, depending on the level of discretion and privacy
