COVER PICTURE: A welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment plays a crucial role in supporting service-user well-being. Intastop cites as ‘an excellent example of blending safety and aesthetics’ the use of its products in a wood-effect finish – as within adult mental health inpatient facilities operated by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

recent conference in Coventry, where we were energised as a community via our annual get- together. The conference keynotes and Lived Experience speakers were a highlight of the event, and commented on by many, as were our annual Awards. See pages 10-16 and 18-21 for reports. Likewise, we are also looking forward, and our partnership with Stable Events will see us feature at its ‘mental health and dementia forum’ event in November; see page 6 for more details. A core part of what we offer as a community is the strength of the networks that we can build, and this event will be an opportunity to deepen our peer relationships in a relaxed setting. Look forward to seeing you there in November.

Journal of the Design in Mental Health Network The strength of our networks is the key
It is always a high-impact event when we
get together as a community. This autumn, we’ll be reflecting at Design in Mental Health Network on the ‘100 conversations’ initiative launched at our 2023 conference. Listening to your challenges, innovations, passions, and ideas, helps set the path for the way forward. Thank you for your contributions so far. The results of the ‘100 conversations initiative’ are in, and we’ll be digesting these and presenting back via online channels, so please watch out for upcoming comms in the autumn. It is a time of development for us as an
organisation, where we look to grow our influence and ability to make change. Please continue to engage with us to develop a network which is in ongoing dialogue to serve our community and our cause – for better mental health outcomes for all. Your contribution to that community is valuable. Please continue to make it. Enjoy this edition of The
