REAL Minisystem Faecal parasite concentrator system for stool sample conservation and concentration
Minisystem has a new cap design with a longer spoon makes the system even cleaner as it protects the user

from touching the sample and at the same time its longer spoon makes the collection of the sample easier.
Parasites conservation and concentration systems
This system has two filters (250μm and 400μm) that efficiently trap large faecal debris and allow parasites to pass through. The clear sediment produced is free of contaminants and suitable for analysis of both helminth eggs and protozoa without ethyl acetate/ether.
Safe and clean procedure Simplifies sample collection For the detection of trophozoites, cysts, larvae and eggs of intestinal parasites. Reduces the possibility of infection CE IVD marked
¿What are our Mini & Midi System Total-Fix®?
The Mini & Midi-System Total-Fix® is a disposable plastic device for the collection, fixation, filtration and concentration of intestinal parasites in faeces. The collection vial contains Total-Fix®, a powerful formalin-free fixative that preserves the morphology of the parasite structures in a highly efficient way.
The concentration method is a modification of the classical Ritchie method, recommended by the WHO, and is carried out with an integrated double horizontal filter that removes large faecal debris, allowing a clean sediment to be obtained after centrifugation.
Two different formats are available to suit the needs of any laboratory. The Mini System is our most convenient and handy device, the size of a conventional 15 ml tube, while the Midi-System is the size of a 50 ml tube, and allows to work with a larger amount of sample.
¿What advantages do our Mini & Midi System Total-Fix® offer?
Total-Fix® fixative is formaldehyde and heavy metals-free, offers the same preservative activity as conventional formaldehyde-based fixatives and is compatible with molecular techniques.
The two integrated filters allow efficient and uniform filtration and have the optimal pore size for clear sediment and good recovery of both helminth eggs and protozoa without the addition of ether or ethyl acetate.
The collection vial contains glass beads to facilitate homogenisation of the sample.
The protocol is fast and clean, with no need for additional consumables, and avoids direct contact with the sample, bad odours and risk of accidental contamination.
