Ecolab has also evolved Videne Antiseptic Solution from a multi-use to a single-use medicinal application.
With the above developments, Ecolab can
now offer three single use pre-operative skin preparation solutions to customers, both chlorhexidine and povidone iodine based: 1. Prevase, for preoperative skin disinfection prior to surgical procedures.
2. Prevase Stain, for preoperative skin disinfection prior to surgical procedures.
3. Videne Antiseptic Solution: a. For once-only use: Disinfection of intact external skin or as a mucosal antiseptic, for example prior to surgery, biopsies, injections, punctures, blood-taking and bladder catheterisations. b. For repeated, time-limited use: Antiseptic wound treatment (e.g., decubitus and varicose ulcers), burns, infected and superinfected dermatoses.
