In the face of intense competition and a rigorous tender process Fulbourn Medical is delighted to have been successful and chosen as turnkey project partner with Maquet Hospital Solutions for 3 new operating theatres at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The new theatres will consist of 2 new Vascular Hybrid Operating Theatres that include imaging systems by a world leading vendor and a third conventional women’s theatre. The new Theatres will provide the Trust with additional patient capacity to make the Hospital a leading provider within the north west of the UK.
Fulbourn Medical will be providing its expertise in turnkey projects to both Maquet Hospital Solutions and the imaging vendor throughout the duration of the project. Maquet Hospital Solutions will be project lead which enables the Trust to have a dedicated project manager and single point of contact which results in Hospital management efficiencies and cost saving.
The project involves the complete installation of services, structural elements, medical gases, a/c plant, two skirt-less laminar flow canopies with patented “CG” diffusers that provide very comfortable flow for both patients and staff as well as supply and installation of Maquet Operating Lights, pendants and the new integration platform ‘TEGRIS’.
The new theatres will utilise Maquets Variop modular wall system. The Variop wall system is available in various colours and comes with an antibacterial powder coating and prefabricated components ensure the shortest possible installation times. Variop has the additional benefit that the wall elements can be easily disassembled and reinstalled without any specialist tools.
