Simon Russell, National Sales manager – Commercial and Corporate Specification, joined Heatrae Sadia in 1996, initially focusing on the specification of the Megaflo (unvented cylinder) into both the domestic and commercial sectors. ‘Understanding that consultant design and specification is an extremely important part of the industry’, he was promoted to the role of National Sales manager – Commercial & Corporate Specification, in January 2010. Over the past decade, he has successfully developed and led a nationwide team of ‘highly qualified and dedicated’ Business Development managers, focused on the public health and mechanical engineering sectors, alongside supporting industry bodies such as CIBSE, SoPHE, and RIBA.


He is responsible for the sales of commercial water heating product through specification, and is experienced in all client sectors of shell and core, category A, and category B fit-out commercial specification. In addition to his role in the UK, Simon Russell was also actively involved with Heatrae Sadia’s Middle East office in Qatar from 2016 to 2018, due to his strong consultant links, which helped to promote the specification of product in the Gulf region. Despite the Doha office closing due to the embargo on Qatar, trade continues, and the consultant links remain. He says that his objective is to continue to develop his career within the commercial space and water heating industry.
