FAKUMA 2021 | EVENT PREVIEW

Erema Erema has developed an extensive range of plastics recycling systems and one of its more recent developments is the Intarema ZeroWastePro system for recycling film production waste. The technology has been designed for PE and PP film production waste processed in inline or offline. Up to 100% of the recycled material can be fed back into the main production process. www.erema.com

Gneuss Gneuss is presenting its new MRSjump extruder for PET recycling at the Fakuma show. As with the proven MRS extruder, the extrusion process does not require any pre-treatment of the input material, such as crystallisation or pre-drying of the material. With the new MRSjump extruder, the MRS screw section has been modified and extended so that, in combination with a vacuum unit developed for this purpose, the viscosity of the polyester can be raised or stabilised without the need for downstream IV build-up in a solid state polycondensation unit. www.gneuss.com

Hellweg Fakuma 2021 provides a platform for Hellweg to highlight the digital Smart Control System that is fitted to its entire range of granulators. The control system detects not only parameters such as power consumption, motor speed and bearing tempera- tures but also the state of blades, screens and V belts. The recent implementation of the Ethernet- based, cross-system OPC UA standard means the machines can now be integrated into control centre systems. www.hellweg-granulators.com

Herbold Meckesheim The Herbold DWS 45/160 double- shaft shredder has a large working surface of the rotor, which the company says gives the machine an excellent ingestion performance and is appropriate for materials that could only be fed in batches with traditional shredders, such as big-bags or large voluminous containers. The shredding of the material to a uniform and constant granular size is determined by the selection of the screen. www.herbold.com

recovering PET at Fakuma 2021. Equipped with a new hot-wash tower and the new Lindner step dryer, the company claims it is is setting new standards in PET recycling. The stainless steel step dryer dries the material particularly gently by slowly adjusting the rotation speed in five steps. This results in less friction and a lower fines content. The compact step dryer delivers throughputs of 1,000-3,000 kg/h at a drive power of 30 kW. www.lindner.com

MAAG

Among the products MAAG Group is highlighting at Fakuma is a new generation of Ettlinger ECO melt filters for use in PET recycling. New features take into account the need for systems with a higher product throughput and are initially available in sizes suitable for medium-sized recycling lines. The new performance enhanced ECO 350 replaces the former ECO 250, while the new ECO 500, capable of achieving capacities of up to 4,000 kg/h, replaces the former ECO 250 Twin. The ECO 200 completes the range. www.maag.com

Weima

At Fakuma 2021, Weima will present the versatile WLK 1000 single- shaft shredder which it says is notable for high throughput and flexibility in daily use. The WLK 1000 can shred large start-up lumps as well as production waste or large- volume plastic parts made of

PE, PP, PVC, PU or PET. In addition it can handle tear-resistant fibres and films, shredding them to a homogeneous size. https://weima.com
