Trinseo starts PC pilot facility
Trinseo has inaugurated its PC dissolution pilot facility in Terneuzen, the Nether- lands. Currently in the R&D phase, the pilot facility is situated in a temporary area and will later be moved into the Central Process Research Labora- tory at the same site. Dissolution recycling is
a process whereby polymer is extracted using solvents which dissolve PC contained in end-of-life parts while other non-PC materials will remain and can then be used for other purposes. The dissolved PC extracted is 100% recycled.
